The following men and women are selected for the 2009 IPF Open Bench Press World Championships May 27-30, 2009 in Hamm , Luxemburg. The alternate list is based on their performance at the 2008 Bench Nationals, 2008 Women's Nationals, and 2008 Men’s Nationals. Alternates are ranked based on the Carpino formula. Anyone on the alternate list interested in competing if they are selected please contact Jennifer Thompson at jennifer@132poundsofpower.com.

USAPL Coaching Certification

USA Powerlifting is now offering a Coaching Certification program available to all USA Powerlifting members. We offer 3 levels of Coaching Certifications: Club Coach, Senior National Coach, and Senior International Coach. This should cover coaches from beginning to international levels. We will strive to provide coaching candidates with information and technical expertise to allow them to coach at any level.
The next USAPL Coaching Certification is September 15-16,2008 at the Rocky Mountain Lifting Club in Aurora, CO after DL & SQ Nationals.
If you are interested in hosting a Certification in your area please contact Dan Gaudreau, Director of the Coaching Certification.
2008 IPF Masters World Powerlifting Championships Web Site Launched

2008 USA Powerlifting National Governing Body Meeting

All current USAPL members are invited to attend the 2008 National Governing Body Meeting. This will be held at 4:00pm on June 12th, 2008 at the Shilo Inn in Killeen, TX.
The official agenda will be posted on the USA Powerlifting web-site the week of May 26th. Below you will find the listings for elections and honorary awards. If you would like to nominate yourself for an elected position or someone for an honorary award, please notify Erin Dickey at usaplsec@gmail.com
A reminder to all State Chairs and voting members: if you are planning to proxy your vote to another member you must notify USAPL Secretary, Erin Dickey, by mail or email. Your proxy must also carry a copy of the letter with your signature to the NGB meeting before they are given your voting card. State Chairs must proxy their vote to a member from their state. All voting members must have a current membership as well.
If you have any questions, please contact any Executive Board member.

May 12th (30 days prior to meeting) Agenda Items, honorary award nominations and ALL COMMITTEE REPORTS*
* Committee reports will be included in NGB materials per NGB vote in 2007. Committee chairs are still encouraged to use their time to thank those they wish and give a brief summary at the meeting.
