Geoff Plante: Treasurer,
USAPL's Newest EC Member
Geoff Plante is 34 years old and hails from East Greenbush, New York (just outside Albany). He graduated from Siena College in 1991 with a BBA in Accounting, cum laude and went to work for Big Six accounting firm KPMG while still in college. Geoff spent over 12 years at KPMG earning his CPA and then transferring to the management consulting division after 5 years on auditing, where he specialized in government operations and information systems. He joined the New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation, a technology consulting company, in August of 2002 as Director of Business Development. In this role he coordinates all marketing and sales activities for the company.
Geoff first began competing in powerlifting in 1988, competing in local competitions in New York and Vermont through 1989. He stopped lifting competitively until 2002 when he began competing in regional bench press and push pull contests. He currently holds a NYS record with a raw bench press of 475lbs. His best bench press in competition is 530lbs. Geoff will begin competing in full meets this May.
