USAPL Marketing Project
As you are aware from our last Powerlines, EC approved hiring a marketing firm (McNutt & Associates, Inc.) to help USA Powerlifting. Since that time, the Marketing Project Team has been working diligently with Lynda McNutt during the investigation phase. Lynda is gathering information from all aspects of our organization to help develop the full picture of our needs.
The plan will cover all aspects of the association's future marketing, advertising, and public relations. It will outline how the "USAPL brand" will be developed, launched, and the process for controlling it. Parts of the plan will include the launching of a website that will give our members easier access to event information, purchasing of USAPL merchandise, and other association programs. It will address the future of the mailed newsletter and will suggest ways to increase membership and the value of the association for current members.
For McNutt & Associates to complete a successful investigation of USA Powerlifting's needs, they have been asking questions of a variety of members from meet directors, EC, National Office administration and specific members. If you receive an e-mail directly from Lynda asking for organizational information, please help us move forward on the investigation by answering her questions. If you are unsure of what she is asking, you may contact me at any time and I will be glad to assist or confirm what is needed. In order to refine the marketing plan that will fit the needs of the USAPL members, a survey may coming your way by shortly. We look forward to the members' timely response in helping us develop USA Powerlifting into a bigger, better member-oriented organization.
