National Team Coaching
The coaches committee is accepting National Team Coaching nominations for the calendar year 2005. Positions include head coaches and team managers only for the following events:
2005 Woman's World Championships
2005 World Games
2005 Men's and Women's Sub Junior World Championships
2005 Men's and Women's Junior World Championships
2005 Men's and Women's Masters World Championships
2005 Men's World Championships
2005 Men's and Women's Bench Press World Championships
2006 Men's and Women's Masters Bench Press World Championships
This nomination process will require nominees to fulfill the following requirements:
1. Nominees should show an interest in coaching / managing a National team by stating such in a written formal letter (no emails). Letters can be sent as an attachment to an email however. Please use "Members of the Coaching Committee" as your salutation.
The letter should also provide your:
- Coaching / Managing philosophy - include a brief paragraph describing your approach to coaching/managing the sport. Information to provide can be, but is not limited to, your views on; competition situations, the handling of powerlifters and / or the use of your assistant coaches during a meet, arranging travel, and organizing and coordinating with staff and athletes. Please don't provide specific examples from your experience but instead, your typical approach in the realm of coaching / managing powerlifting teams.
2. Submit a brief coaching / managing resume to the committee.
The resume should provide your:
- PL coaching / managing experience (world, national or individual)
- Lifting experience (world, national or individual if applicable).
- Optional items to add could be any other coaching / managerial experiences in powerlifting or other sports, educational background, any certifications in physical training (i.e. personal trainers cert) or coaching, as well as administrative job duties, or teaching situations.
{If requirements are not met in full the nomination cannot be accepted}
It is your responsibility to assure the requirements are met

Nominations can be sent in care of Rob Wagner at rawple@aol.com or postal mail, 225 N Rosborough Ave., Ventnor, NJ 08406. The nomination deadline is 12/31/04. All nominations must be received (if using email) or post marked (if using postal mail) by that date.
Only nominations meeting the listed criteria will be considered by the coaching committee. If a nomination is accepted we will inform those individuals that have been selected.
