The Women's Hall of Fame Committee and USA Powerlifting proudly honored Bettina Alitzer Sunday morning at Women's Nationals in St Louis, MO. With committee chair Erin Dickey at the mike, she briefly touched on the many, many aspects of Bettina's lifting career. USAPL President Larry Maile and 2004 Hall of Fame Inductee Judy Gedney presented Bettina with her plaque, a beautiful embroidered powerlifting belt (no, you can't retire anytime soon Bettina) and the canvas put together by Dawn Gaines, which all the lifters signed throughout the weekend.
Please take some time to read more about Bettina's accomplishments and history on the USAPL website: www.usapowerlifting.com/halloffame/women/bettina_altizer/index.shtml
Thank you to all those who attended Bettina's induction and thank you to the sponsors of 2005 who helped make this event memorable to Bettina.
