2005 USAPL Collegiate Committee Scholarship Award Winners

The USA Powerlifitng Collegiate Scholarship Committee would like to take this opportunity to announce and recognize the 2005 scholarship award winners. They are Ms. Tamara Walters of Louisiana Tech University, and Mr. Dane Kelly of Shasta College. Each student athlete was the recipient $250.00 towards their first semester of college. Out sincerest congratulations to both Tamara and Dane!

Our funding for next year's scholarship awards will be $1000.00 dollars, and we would like to encourage all talented high powerlifters that have plans to attend college next year to apply early. Request for applications can be directed to Mr. John Magendie at: Jonmagendie@hotmail.com

For prospective donors, we have set up a designated beneficiary fund specific to the cause of promoting not only the future athletic success of our collegiate powerlifters, but their future academic accomplishment and achievements as well. And, your contribution to this wonderful cause is tax deductible. On a final note, special recognition goes out to both Jon Magendie for donating his annual collegiate committee stipend of $500.00, and to Wade Hooper for the donation of $100.00 to fund this great cause -Thank you!
